Frs Derrick and James take this opportunity to wish all parishioners of Star of the Sea and Blessed Sacrament and their loved ones a blessed and holy Easter season.
The Easter collection will be taken up for the Oblates of Mary Immaculate. The proceeds go toward the education of priests and brothers.
The SVDP intends raising R100 000.00 for their disaster relief fund. The money will be used to purchase food, toiletries and blankets to assist families in Verulam, Phoenix and Ottawa or any other requests that they may receive. The Catholic Women’s League thanks everyone for their overwhelming generosity in supporting our Easter Hamper raffle. The winners are Carol Van Der Merwe and Sandra Vosloo. The proceeds of the raffle will go towards supporting our various charities.
The new R.C.I.A. programme will commence at 19h00 on Wednesday May 11, 2022, at Blessed Sacrament. This year-long programme is of anyone wishing to become a Catholic, or as a Catholic wish to enhance the knowledge of your faith.
Catechism and Confirmation lessons resume this week at the usual times and venues. We encourage parents to prioritise these times please.
The Guild of Our Lady of Mercy is in desperate need of baby clothes and wool. If you can help, please deliver to the parish office.
Lifeteen thanks all parishioners who kindly donated to their charity projects this Lent. We will be continuing this drive as part of our charity outreach for this year.
