Good morning!
We have received a very important notice from the Commission for Liturgy of the Archdiocese of Durban as follows:
1. The dispensation from Sunday Mass attendance is lifted. This means that we are again required to meet our obligation to attend Mass on Sundays. The obligation cannot be met by attending Mass during the week. Covid regulations regarding social distancing and wearing of masks remain.
2. Live streaming of parish Masses is to be discontinued. So attendance of any "virtual Mass" and spiritual communion will no longer meet the requirements of attending Mass. This does not include parishioners who are ill or incapacitated. It is not a sin to miss Mass due to a serious medical condition.
Having said this, we are really looking forward to seeing all of you again. Let us continue to pray that our return to a normal way of living may be sooner rather than later.
