We stand before You, Holy Spirit, as we gather together in your name. With You alone to guide us, make Yourself at home in our hearts; Teach us the way we must go and how we are to pursue it. We are weak and sinful; do not let us promote disorder. Do not let ignorance lead us down the wrong path nor partiality influence our actions. Let us find in You our unity so that we may journey together to eternal life and not stray from the way of truth and what is right. All this we ask of You, who are at work in every place and time, in the communion of the Father and the Son, forever and ever. Amen.

N.B. While in the church, please ensure that face masks are worn correctly, covering both nose and mouth. This is an act of consideration for others, as well as protection for yourself.

During the season of Lent, Stations of the Cross will be prayed after the 17h30 Mass on Wednesdays at Star of the Sea and after the 17h30 Mass on Fridays at Blessed Sacrament.

The dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass given at the start of the Covid lockdown period has now been lifted. The Faithful are strongly encouraged to resume their obligation to attend Sunday Mass and holy days of obligation.

As from next weekend, March 12/13, 2022, the presentation of live-streamed Masses from Blessed Sacrament will be terminated in compliance with a directive from the Chancery.

Children’s Mass/Liturgy will resume at the 9am Sunday Mass next weekend 13/03/22. Please bring your pre-schoolers to the classroom before Mass. Star of the Sea will resume soon.

During Lent a second collection with be taken at all weekend Masses for the Southern African Catholic Bishops’ Lenten Appeal. EFT’s can be made into their account: Lenten Appeal, FNB 250655, account no 62046901981.

Parish collection: In addition to the weekly collection, contributions may also be made by EFT to The Parish of the Blessed Sacrament, First National Bank, account no: 50844547792, branch code 221426. Marriages: An appointment with parish clergy should be made 6 months prior to the marriage. Couples must be registered & active members of the Parish for at least 6 months prior. All couples planning to marry should contact the Engaged Encounter team on prior to meeting with Father James.

Funerals: Please contact the parish clergy first before any arrangements are made with the undertaker.
