FIRST READING: 2 Samuel 7:1-5,8-12,14-16.

1. I will sing forever of your mercies, O Lord, through all ages my mouth will proclaim your fidelity. I have declared your mercy is established forever; your fidelity stands fi rm as the heavens. ℟

2. ‘With my chosen one I have made a covenant; I have sworn to David my servant; I will establish your descendants forever, and set up your throne through all ages’. ℟

3. “He will call out to me, ‘You are my father, my God, the rock of my salvation.’ I will keep my faithful love for him always; with him my covenant shall last.” ℟

SECOND READING: Romans 16:25-27.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION: Alleluia, alleluia! Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word. Alleluia.

GOSPEL: Luke 1:26-38.

My Jesus,

I believe that you are present

in the Most Holy Sacrament.

I love You above all things,

and I desire to receive You in my soul.

Since I cannot at this moment

receive You sacramentally,

come at least spiritually into my heart.

I embrace You as if You were already there

and unite myself wholly to You.

Never permit me to be separated from You.

COMMUNION ANTIPHON: Behold a Virgin shall conceive, and shall bear a son; and will be called Emmanuel.
